Go during a dry spell. After a decent rain not only do the trails wash out the roads to get to camp are treacherous. Central and North camps will close periodically due to the access road being impassable. Be sure to call. West camp is okay if you like being out in the blazing sun. Only a few sites have the luxury of having shade for the horses. Middle sites are nearly unbearable after the temp hits 80. The horse trails are haphazardly marked-take a gps...If you want cell service you need to go to town or ride to the "phone booth". This is the only place on the trail (overlooking camp)that you can get full bars. All and all not the best place I've ever ridden for $16 a night primative.

Beautiful equine facilities with scenic and chalangeing trails.
